Lauren Wester Photographs owns the images taken at your shoot, but your payment grants you rights to use the images via print or electronically. When posting the images on your personal social media accounts credit is always preferred but not required. You may not sell the images to a third party provider of any kind. If you would like to use the images in a magazine or publication, the publication must work with Lauren Wester Photographs directly.  

Once you have reached out to us, we will set up a face to face (or Skype if not possible) meeting with you. Here we can go over what you would like to capture and the feeling/theme you are going for. We will present options for you and will not pressure you in any way. If you decide our style is a good fit for you, we'll need a NON REFUNDABLE down payment to lock down your date and time and a signed contract. You do not need to commit the day of the meeting, but your date will not be guaranteed until we've received your deposit and a signed contract for the day. If you decide to make a down payment via Venmo or Paypal (if using a credit/debit card on Paypal you will be charged the services associated transaction fees. These fees typically are no more than 4% of the cost).

We have many photographer connections and would do our very best to try to find a replacement in the case of an emergency. We treat every shoot as seriously as if it were our own. 

In the case of illness, the only illness that will prevent us from being able to show up would be an illness that would prevent you from showing up to your own wedding. Again, we will use our photography connections to try our very best to find a last minute replacement. 

In a very rare worse case scenario in which no replacement could be found for a wedding day, we would fully refund any money provided to us and shoot complementary bride and groom portraits afterwards.  

An invoice will be mailed or emailed to you prior to the shoot. You are expected to pay the invoice NO LATER THAN the day of the shoot, and will not receive a photo session if the invoice has not been paid in full. The turn around time for most shoots ranges from 2-3 weeks, large events may take a couple weeks longer but we will clarify in your specific contract.

YES. We will provide you with a quote depending where the shoot is located. We are masters at finding deals, so we will do our very best to keep the travel costs lower than normal. Travel fees will be added to the deposit fee or billed separately before travel is booked. 

This would be a very rare scenario, as we maintain our equipment and backup photos immediately after returning from the shoot, but if this act of God occurrence were to happen, we would schedule another shoot with you at a discounted rate. If only part of the event was not shot due to equipment failure, the total cost would be adjusted accordingly by a percentage base of lost images. If the entire event is lost and unable to be re-shot we’ll fully refund you any money you have paid.
