The second we met Valerie & Dan we knew they would be a piece of cake to photograph. For real people, they looked like they had just walked out of a magazine. On the car ride downtown we learned they wanted pictures in front of the Walker Center. Okay, but wait for the cute part, their last name is Walker. Ahh, it's almost too much.
It was coldish outside so we brought a blanket and hot chocolate for the shoot. We later learned Valerie wanted a blanket and hot chocolate but forgot to bring them; aha, great minds think alike. She was a trooper with that hot chocolate too, because to our demise, our thermos was a deceivingly new looking, leaky, broken container which would pour hot chocolate down Valerie's fingers and all over the table prop. We are still amazed it was warm after an hour, but we guess that's the exact purpose of a thermos...
As we shot, Dan & Valerie were adorable. Sometimes we feel like a creepy bystander in our shoots yelling, "KISS!" "OKAY KISS AGAIN," "HOLD IT LONGER", "LONNGEEER," but with them it was completely normal. The afternoon felt as if you were hanging out with your much too darling couple friends and witnessed their love, just with the looks they gave to each other. These two were extremely comfortable and fun to be around. We don't even need to explain much more because their pictures tell it all. We wish all the best for Dan & Valerie as they continue to embark upon life together.
